Western wedding is not like the wedding in Taiwan.

In Taiwan, if people receive the wedding invitaion for the wedding Banquet.
They will give a red envelope(with money) to congratulate the newly wed.
If they can't show up or are preoccupied on that time,
they will ask a friend to bring the red envelope.
And the newly wed can use the money to pay something they need to pay.

In western,
the newly wed couple will put a gift list(on line) they need and
their friends will register it for paying that.
Or on the wedding day or the wedding party,
they just bring the gift to the newly wed.

Quite interesting & so different!!!
